Lake of the Woods offers excellent fishing opportunities year-round, but the best times depend on the species you're targeting. For example, ice fishing is popular in winter, while summer is great for walleye and northern pike.

We launch from my private dock on Zipple Bay, Lake of the Woods, Minnesota, with exact departure details provided in your confirmation email.
Most charters depart between 7:00–8:00 AM, but we customize to meet your needs.
Standard Walley or Sturgeon trips is 8 hours. A Muskie trip is 10 hours as we need to run up to the Northwest Angle and troll the islands.
Custom trips are avaiable.
Yes — a $500 deposit is required to secure your date, with the balance due on the day of your trip.
Your deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel, you can apply it to a future date within 1 year. Weather-related cancellations are handled by the captain and can be refunded or rescheduled.
A: Yes. All guests must have a valid Minnesota fishing license before boarding.
Absolutely — Walleye and Sauger can be kept within Minnesota DNR regulations. Sturgeon and Muskie trips are catch and release only.

No — gratuity is optional but appreciated. Most guests tip 15–20% for exceptional service.
